@Simone ********
An dubious Employee of this nature looking for his own benefit at the banks expense is on the long run costing the bank big money. Gathering some evidence and reporting it to Head Office via email would be a good way to make sure this staff gets dealt with properly.

I am with Bangkok Bank as well as this is correct 100%... Charge for a Debit Card is only 100 Bahts. This is why they call it Amazing Thailand ;o) I am here in Hua Hin as well, so it would be helpful to know which Branch you had this kind of dubious dealings with? I would strongly recommend gathering as much evidence and making an official report to Bangkok Bank Head Office via email. If there is an option to keep your Complaint/ Report Anonymous while keeping the channels of communication open, I would do so. Please share which Branch in Hua Hin which you had these kind of dealings with... Thanks!

The usual Covid Extension review period, before getting the additional 45 days, is only 15 days... Did you manage to get any precision on whether you are on a Review period and got the 60 Day Covid Extension or not?

Fruits , Veggies , Meat and Fish products are strictly governed & restricted, but dry biscuits and small amount of pasteurized Milk is fine. Good to note, there is plenty UHT milk here in Thailand, so the little won't miss out on any of that. Have a good trip and safe travels

I got that 100%, but it would save the OP lots of hassle to simply change the booking to all on one ticket, thus the reason I mentioned it as an option . Cheers!

If the Booking is ALL ON 1 TICKET, your check-in luggage will follow you to your destination and there should be no need to satisfy any of the Thai Entry Requirements as you are on standby at the airport = Not entering the country. hope this helps ... Safe travels

Good to know this, thanks for sharing. I usually recommend to talk with a foreigner that works in the schools directly. Also, with Thailand Immigration offices having so many discrepancies from one to the other, it can sometimes help to check it out in different areas also. Cheers !

Salut Maxim, Yah, very good point and some Officers are nice about it, but some are looking for tea money and can be a bit nasty, so learning what you sign up for is more important than before for sure. Shoke dee na pii, phob gan mai

Hi Daniel, I read all the other posts and I was surprised nobody mention this easy one.... Last time I tried (=Dec 2021), we can Not get an ED Visa for a Language School or to get a special Muay Thai ED Visa from outside the country, but yet Immigration asks us to leave Thailand to change our Status... Go Figure?!? If you are US citizen, just come here on a Visa Exempt 30 day and go apply for and ED Visa at a language school such as Insight English or others and get a 1 year ED visa. Now, use to be you could Not change your Status from Tourist to ED from inside the country, but read in a post earlier that Immigration have made some accommodations due to Covid, but I would double check on that one by calling one of the Language Schools and talking with a Foreigner for easier exchange. I was told an ED Visa in language school is renewable for up to 3 years , but again check with the Schools. Hope this helps. Cheers!
