Can we go Extend say 29 days before expiry of the 60 days or is it shorter than that?
Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can typically apply for a visa extension in Thailand when you have 30 days or less remaining on your 60-day Visa Free entry at most immigration offices. In some locations, like Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket, you might be able to apply with 45 days left. However, specific offices, such as those in Pattaya, Koh Samui, and Koh Phangan, allow applications only during the last week of your visa duration. It's best to check directly with the relevant immigration office for precise requirements.

Specifically for tourist extension, there are a handful of offices that only allow you to apply during your last week. These include Pattaya, Koh Samui, and Koh Phangan.
