What are the requirements for a Filipina friend traveling to Thailand for the first time under the Visa Exemption Scheme?

I have a Filipina friend wanting to visit Thailand… She is a first time traveller outside her country, but she will have the 20.000 Bahts along with an Address of accommodations as well as the Return Ticket required -after her 60 or 90day stay as is the New Rules published on July 15th on the Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme for Philippines…

I did read a few articles on Sponsoring, but as a Foreign on Long Term Visa here in the Kingdom, I am not even sure if that is an option, although the Officer could quite easily check with a few clicks that the Place of Residence is a match to her declaration as well as I been living here for over 10 years. Thanks in advance for your educated advice. Very much appreciated.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Filipina friend can visit Thailand under the Visa Exemption Scheme, which allows her a 60-day stay on arrival. She needs to prepare by having a printed return ticket, a minimum of 20,000 Baht in cash, and an invitation letter from a local resident including their contact information. Additionally, it's advised to have a copy of the resident's passport and visa for reference. While Philippine immigration will conduct a thorough check, particularly since this is her first international travel, supporting documentation will be crucial to ensure smooth entry into Thailand.

Thank you, members for your help.

We are not going into the details about how to let Filipinas travel out from their home country. Sorry.

Hopefully, you have all your ducks in a row. The biggest hurdle will be leaving the PH. As a first time female traveler, she will be under heightened screening by PH immigration. If any of her story does not add up she will be offloaded.

As your friend is from the Philippines, she is eligible for the 60 day stamp on arrival as Visa Exempt Entry.

She'll need to be prepared for questions from the Philippines Immigration Officers as this is her first time to travel to Thailand.

And upon arrival,

.. have her return ticket printed out.

...20,000 Thai baht in cash or foreign currency equivalency.

... your letter inviting her to stay with you in Thailand. With your contact information, Address and phone number.

... copy of your passport picture page and the Thai Visa you are on.

She should be fine. Hope you both have a great time together 🥰.

As for the longer term, marriage is an option, as is enrolling in a school.

You will have time to explore your plans together with her after she is in Thailand.

Good Luck 🍀

my gf also had to do an appointment at CFO (Certificate for Filipinos Overseas) centre in Manila. Like an interview questioning why she wanted to leave. Was about 10 years ago now so unsure if still required but worth enquiring. Thai side of things has never been any issue, was getting out Philippines that was.
