quite obviously they haven’t started on June 1st, as people have been posting their visa exempt stamps that are giving them 30 days….do not believe the newspaper and the internet.

Maybe you should have done some checking yourself, it sounds like you are very new to Thailand, never believe what the newspaper and websites say. You only believe it when things are eventually implemented.

Yes all be be ok, as long as you pass thru immigration control before 11:59 pm on the 8th of June.

Legally the person who owns the property will be required to lodge a TM30 with the local immigration department within 24 hours of your arrival, but realistically not many people actually bother with it.

It is hard to say, each office has different ideas about that, personally in all the years I have had my visa, we were only visited on the first year, but that is in Cha-am Phetchaburi province, so your province may be different.
