No you don’t. It might take patience, buying unnecessary insurance or paying an agent but there’s no problem with you getting a bank account.

You also don’t necessarily need a bank account to buy a condo. There are ways around it.

Apply on the online site listed earlier. You don’t contact the Embassy just submit online. They are usually very quick. Often 3 days or less.

First, you’ll need to go to Immigration to get a 30-day Extension on your Visa Exempt entry.

When you’re there, ask them what you need to get the Non O and see what they say.

Make sure the place you are staying at has registered a TM30 before you go.

The Thai Embassy in London usually takes 2 or 3 days.

I’ve no idea how long other Embassies take.

baht last November when I got my Non O from London but that was for an Annual Multi-trip policy. I used a Thai broker/agent though the policy was with a European company. You could try messaging Arawan Namak.
