yes, I've sent a few emails of questions to them but reply timescales and not addressing questions are frustrating at the least

Thanks. Got both DBS, medical certs, waiting on a current bank statement as its ^ 3 months now, insurance through thai Co (is v high). Wife's capital is in a joint account (my capital seperate account) is that a problem?

Time is now pressing so it seems best both apply for 60 day tourist visas and go from there. I was thinking of simultaneously applying for the OA from the UK on the chance of it being granted even once I was there.

I tried to find a UK agent to guide and check unsuccessfully

I found the webpage for Thai consulate in Wales had different info than the London embassy page, scant though that was. That's why I asked for England specific. Thanks anyway.

Do you have relevant information pertaining to an English application?

Yes, on the official Evisa site.

That's good news about the tourist visa.

The OA seems to throw up unexpected questions and documentation requirements, not helped by intransigence of UK banks!!

Am I correct that my wife (u50) needs a tourist visa before applying for a 'spouse' visa once my OA had been granted?

Capital for her visa is in a joint account, is that a problem?

Thanks

As proceedures appear to differ at different places I need guidance pertaining to England only via evisa.

Processing timescales, acceptable documentation, joint bank accounts

Is it possible to apply for OA and tourist visa simultaneously.

Flights date approaching rapidly, e-forms not co-operating.

I think you misunderstand. To me he is criticising the visa system, not you personally.

Silly even to do that though, their country, their rules.
