I had same issue when I lived in Turkiye for a year and ended up with a kg of spinach to eat for 1 usd.... lots and lots of spinach with every meal that week hehehe

maybe add krabi/ao nang to your list. 2 small international airports near here. I live in ao nang and I am 2.5 hr drive to Phuket airport or 45 min to Krabi airport. But I also liked Hua Hin when I Visited.

I still have bank accounts in Singapore and Oman and Portugal and Thailand and USA. But each has small balances so I guess none of them are worried that I am money laundering. I am not, btw. Hehe
