To be completely honest with you man. Thailand is going to eat up that money you have and you'll have nothing left. That's not a significant enough investment to have any political power in Thailand. And any business power you attain along the way will be eaten up in thievery and bribes.

I know I'm surprised too. Maybe don't mention those things and just say that you're here to buy a condo? And then buy their stupid insurance. I think they favor investors with money over everyone else to be honest.

I had no problem on a tourist visa. Told them I was staying for 6 months, and was looking to buy a condo. Said what do I do with all this money? I'm scared to carry around all this money. Showed them a big bag of money. They sold me some type of life insurance 6,000thb and allowed me to open a bank account. Really in the end they just wanted the money. Lol.
