I believe if your job ends while on a non-b extension that extension ends. I you are on a non-O extension due to marriage and your job ends it has zero impact on your extension

Following up. I finally got through to 1178. They asked if I plan to stay or leave Thailand. If I plan to stay I have to renew before expiration. If I plan on leaving I can just wait until end of Amnesty and leave then (no problems). However, if I don't renew before expiration and then change my mind after expiration too bad I would have to leave and get a new visa.

If you are married to a Thai do the extension based on marriage. Significantly lower financial requirements.

People keep asking about the 180 day question. Which Robert and Tod keep rughtky saying doesnt apply to a Visa. The one thing it may apply to however is tax. So be careful.
