Better google search I'ntl schools in that Part if Thailand. That may be your greatest expense. Real Estate listings as well for purchase or rental. All other expenses should be quite reasonable.

Onward ticket in any country will be acceptable. Thai immigration & the airline (before boarding) did not ask for an onward or return ticket.

My sister recently passed. The funeral home/ crematorium give the certificate, including identification w in or sttached to the ashes. Better call the airline to be sure for transport.
