a friend who married a thai recently said it was very complicated and that the amount of paperwork and and travelling to government offices in different provinces was incredible.

Village ceremony doesnt make you legally married. Its ritual only.

airlines put their own vaccine mandates in place. Air Asia only dropped theirs in October.

Yes 90% of online information is out of date as it changes by the week, and that includes even thai embassies. One has have online research skills or know exactly which sources have up to date information.

Contacting airlines directly is good and the Australian government website "smarttraveller" is always up to date.

Degree is an essential legal requirement , if it's not a teaching degree then TEFL is advised so that you actually know what you are doing.

yes so many have been holding on in hope but have now run out of funds and determination to continue.

The hotels don't have enough work for their existing staff and few customers to allow interns to develop their skills. This is going to lead to a lack of skilled people to reopen the industry.
