What is your experience with Mumbai/Delhi consulate after applying for DTV Visa?
I’m planning to apply soon from the Mumbai consulate, and I’m seeing a few post’s about Mumbai consulate rejecting freelancer’s application. I work as a freelance motion designer, and I meet all the criteria. Is New-Delhi Consulate any better? Not sure if someone living in the Maharashtra jurisdiction can apply from the New Delhi consulate. If someone has experience or doing the same, let me know!
My Experience with the DTV Visa - Applying from India
Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my experience applying for the DTV Visa under the Digital Nomad / Workcation category.
A big thank you to this group! The posts and shared experiences from other members were incredibly helpful.
I applied for the DTV Visa on February 10th from India, selecting the New Delhi embassy. I paid the visa fee of 10,000 THB via bank deposit at a DBS Bank branch.
## Documents Submitted:
* A formal letter on my company’s letterhead, signed and stamped, explaining my work.
* A No Objection Letter (NOC) from the Board of Directors, confirming that my company has no issues with me working remotely.
* My company’s Incorporation Certificate and GST Certificate.
* My personal bank statement for the past three months. (I didn’t maintain a balance of 500,000 THB consistently, but I had around 600,000 THB in my account for the past week.)
* My recent income tax return, showing my annual income.
* For proof of current location, I submitted my national ID and the most recent Indian entry stamp on my passport.
* For accommodation, I booked a "pay at hotel" reservation for 81 days and entered those details.
That’s all I submitted.
I applied yesterday, and today, I received my visa via email!
I have seen E sim apps available for iPhone but curious to know how these work, I am considering travel to the following countries and would also like to keep my WhatsApp number but maybe cancelling my home country contract (New Zealand).
Update: thanks to ChatGPT it suggested I use the airport's address. However, it looks like my transit visa won't come in time. I booked a backup flight just in case. Huge waste of money 🤢 Let this be a lesson to anyone with a connecting flight through DEL! Get a transit visa well in advance just in case! 😣
Help needed: I'm flying to BKK through India DEL-- and just learned I need a Transit Visa to transfer flights in India. The Indian government's evisa form is super confusing. Anyone know what to enter under "Reference"? I don't have anyone's contact info to put down here 😕
My question. In thailand can I purchase there GoPro camera and DJI drone and take camera and drone with me to india? Is there any restriction to purchase gadgets in thailand?
