About to do a border run from Krabi as my 60 day tourist visa expires soon. I have already extended it for 30 days. I expect to be on a work visa eventually, probably teaching.
My question is, can I get another tourist visa? Or do I just have to enter visa free on the 30 days they give you?
Also, I accidentally overstayed my 60 days before I extended my visa, is this likely to cause any issues? (By 13 days, honest mistake caused by the Thai embassy at home in Australia having completely wrong and outdated info on their website)
Am looking at doing a land crossing to either Myanmar or Malaysia.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is planning a border run from Krabi after extending their 60-day tourist visa and is inquiring if they can obtain another tourist visa or if they must enter Thailand visa-free with a 30-day entry. They express concern about having overstayed their visa by 13 days due to incorrect information from the Thai embassy.
You cannot use the thai consulate in Penang to get a tourist visa because of an overstay stamp in their passport. Maybe better to avoid Vientiane (but in Laos though) either to be safe.
I was planning to just cross the border and return overland not travel to Penang. Either Satun or Ranong. As I'm in Krabi and that seems to be the closest borders I can ride to.
