I have done this before using an agent. As the sponsor it is more about you and your financial stability so they want to see money in your account and your income

In the past I have been asked for bank stmts, payslips, photos of house, proof of relationship - extracts from messenger for eg, and other stuff

I always write a letter explaining she is on holiday, explaining she has family back home to look after and making it clear I will make sure she goes home after her stay. Seems to work.

I use Western Union and it is only £1.90 each time. Maybe you need to set up an account or change the account somehow.

Of course the fee is irrelevant as it is the exchange rate that is more important.
