Rental companies likely don’t give a F. They drop them all over town with partnerships and the liability is on the rider. No permission necessary.

Bro you DO realize that not everyone is over 50 years old right? You also DO realize that shipping 65,000THB per month is horrible money management as well right?

Cost is one consideration. Covid visas are relatively cheap in comparison. Flexibility is another, 6 Covid extensions in a year is a lot more flexible than a yearlong visa.
