Can I apply for a 90-day Non-O visa in Thailand after extending my tourist exemption?

Just extended my tourist exemption for another 30 days. Done all the paperwork to be able to marry my Thai girlfriend soon. Doing it this month but I just wanted to check I can apply for a 90 day o visa. As what was stamped in my passport seems strict.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user recently extended their tourist exemption for an additional 30 days and is preparing to marry their Thai girlfriend. They seek clarification on the possibility of applying for a 90-day Non-O visa, as the current stamp in their passport appears strict. Community responses indicate that, contrary to some previous beliefs, it is indeed possible to apply for a Non-O visa within Thailand, especially since immigration rules have become more accommodating post-COVID.

Supposed to be done out of country. But just like everything else in Thailand. It only depends on who you know.

If you want a non o based on marriage I believe you must apply initially in your home country. Then you can extend it here as long as you have the funds etc.

No, you can apply for Non-Os in Thailand and transition from a tourist visa or visa exempt. Only Non-Bs cannot be obtained in country (and they sometimes can).

Wonder if all this will ever go back to the way it was (border runs and stuff). In-country visa exchanges are pretty convenient..๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
