Anyone here have any experience with securing a work permit and visa through their own company?
Been using Covid extensions for 6 months now and am starting to think about alternatives. I’ve started a business (currently in Thais name), what are the costs/considerations associated with getting a work permit through this company?
Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on obtaining a work permit and visa through their own company, which is currently set up in a Thai national's name. They have been using Covid extensions for their stay in Thailand for six months and are looking into alternatives. The conversation highlights the importance of consulting a professional for legal and accounting advice, as the requirements can vary based on company structure and the number of Thai employees. There is a mention of needing four Thai employees per foreign worker unless under BOI (Board of Investment) provisions.

You’d need professional advice on this one, from an accountant or lawyer. It depends on how the company is set up and the number of Thais it employs as to whether a foreigner can get a work permit.
