let them know in your application of your plans of going to luang prabang because i went there without telling them and they called me for an interview the next morning where i couldnt catch a train or flight back, luckily i could reschedule

they already assumed you are outside of thailand when you are applying for the visa

dont do that, they will ask for proof of location anyway, and probably call you for an interview which is in person, I was already outside of thailand when applying and also you need to pay in person at the embassy as well, why would you want to apply from thailand!?

went quicker than expected for me

Applied and paid on March 4th

Called for Interview on March 11th

Had to reschedule to March 13th

Approved 10 min after the interview

My interview lasted less than 5 min, they just want your clear intentions of staying in Thailand and show them your bank account on your phone
