What are the recent DTV visa approval rates in Vientiane, and how can I improve my chances after a rejection in Hanoi?

I’m planning to apply for a DTV visa in Vientiane, Laos, but I’m a bit worried because I was rejected once in Hanoi.

Do you know if DTV visa approvals in Vientiane have been going well recently? How many days did it take for people who were approved lately?

I’m planning to apply through a Thai cooking program. Do you have any advice or tips that might help increase the chances of approval? I’m quite concerned because of my previous rejection in Hanoi.

Thanks for the comment. How many days did it take? Was it for the workation visa? Did you have an interview as well?

Maybe it was because the number of cooking classes was too small. This time I’m planning to take more classes!

Got a great visa company through our samui business network that also donate some of their commissions to our samui surf club (that teaches Thai kids how to ocean swim) so happy to link you up. Send me a pm

You should use an agent. I recommend Issa Compass....they have a 98% success rate..and if you aren't approved your money is refunded. I got my DTV in Laos through them 7 months ago

Do you know why you got rejected in hanoi?

If you fullfill the requirements, and can put forward a proper application thats easy to read and dont give them any questions about your application you will be approved

times.

So finding the reason is the most important thing.

Making sure the application is good and easy to read !

went quicker than expected for me

Applied and paid on March 4th

Called for Interview on March 11th

Had to reschedule to March 13th

Approved 10 min after the interview

My interview lasted less than 5 min, they just want your clear intentions of staying in Thailand and show them your bank account on your phone

, did you say that you were physically outside of Thailand when you were applying for your visa online? Or did you apply from inside Thailand? *I know many people just ignore the advice and apply from inside Thailand anyway.

dont do that, they will ask for proof of location anyway, and probably call you for an interview which is in person, I was already outside of thailand when applying and also you need to pay in person at the embassy as well, why would you want to apply from thailand!?

Anonymous participant Agree with Rick. Especially as you mentioned you are ‘a bit worried’ and also ‘quite concerned’. When you determine why you were rejected in Hanoi could you let us know as that would help other applicants. Thank you.
