ah , now I agree , but it read differently initially ....yes , ground has been reclaimed illegally to extend resorts and hotels , but I would like to know who owns them firstly , whose getting the Brown paper bags and allowing this to happen , and what % of the rooms are rented by thai tourists ...as for people/ tourists getting attacked by wild elephants ...ample signage and rangers would alleviate lots of stupidity...
I can see merit in your first theory , and is just that , a theory , but when you start blaming tourists for not looking after the thai forests etc, you lost me 100% ....tourists are not to blame for the shambles the thai fishing industry is in for example , and most certainly not too blame for the burning off of thai forests ..rehabilitation of national parks might be possible if they get thais to contribute a fair entry price , like tourists are expected to do , and actually have a government department that knows a little about regeneration and stops the raping and burning off , that's causing months of air pollution etc ...dont blame tourists , most are only in thailand for a few weeks , and have planned their holiday weeks if not months in advance
Logically , the covid situation globally has not improved greatly , so I would think this same assumption would be made in thailand , and they continue to extend amnesty ....that is logically of course , so may not happen haha
