I happen to share your sentiments 100% . Enough home grown English happy to live off the taxpayers. I think educated foreigners are beginning to see that and quite rightly going elsewhere. 😉

Do I need to close my UK bank accounts when moving to Thailand?

A few years back, Banks in the UK were closing non resident accounts. If you open an account and subsequently move abroad, I believe some banks close your account. Not 100% what the score is now.

Don't rock the boat regarding paying taxes. The less talked about, the better! They struggle to collect tax from their own citizens let alone anyone else.

Good advice but don't assume that just because someone is a native speaker that can just do a TEFL and teach. For example, I have come across many UK natives who have appalling English grammar and spelling!
