I wouldnt risk trying to get it shipped over. As others have already mentioned, you'll get stung with hefty import tax. I have slso heard stories of some customs officials wanting tea money as well!

an agent is not needed. Go to the uk visa section on gov.uk or the uk embassy website and follow the steps. Easy enough to do yourself.
