Just acknowledge this. The free or minimum transfercost you put yourself, only works until 2000 € send in one or different transfers. I not know for one BIG amount, but then the difference of the money conversion, become more important also.

, it depends on the amount send. But as long you can put minimum amount of costs, it still beats Transferwise. On my last one, the difference was 0.30/euro. That is still better then what the banks do, on a transfer or payement, not talking about Paypal, and others.

There is also XENDPAY. I use it with transferwise. Pro of Xendpay is that you can put your own fee you want until 2000 €, but currency exchange is a bit less good then transferwise. On my last transfer of 1000 €, saved a few hundred baht, going this way.

I open an account in November, Pattaya branch. Near walking street. In fact a gogo does evenings to arrange this. The Windmill. But as it was no bank day there, the friendly Mamasan, went with me to the bank, which was already close. She managed to let us in, and everything done in 10 minutes. No visa. But be aware. They try to put on your bill a very expensive insurance. Do not accept that, read it well. Then you get a new one without it.

The visa must then be valid, when you come back, and never forget that a 3 months visa, is meant to be used in that time period after issue, but is only good for staying 2 months. You can stay in fact 2 months without visa, if you get an extension of your 30 days stay, but airlines not accept that. Then you can use "rent a ticket", to have justification, to get out of the kingdom in time.

@Richard ******
Well Richard Clark, have it your way. If no one has reported, if you trust that it is not well seen, to have one day or 2 months overstay, I am not going to get further in to this. I know I would avoid it at any cost. I seen attitude change in 30 years I come in Thailand, especially with the Military Government, that also has to deal with a lot of scum coming to Thailand. If you not understand that Thailand is the kind of country, they not laugh with people who not respect their rules "up to you". 1900 bht, and I will always stay the nice guy. I am not wasting any more words on this. One day is overstay, as well as 3 months.

You not understand. I would have been in problem on a trip they not wanted to board me on a plane, as i had 50 days before returning. What saved me was the argument, that i had extensions before and no nasty stamp that proved, I always been respectful to the immigration rules. In doubt, this helped.

@Richard ******
you will have that nasty overstay in your passport, that not only looks bad for immigration, but also for your flight company

Avoid overstay at any cost. Can give problems for visa in the future, depending where you apply.
