^ in a year period Aka 400k on bank + 33k per month income proven. Or get a multi entry visa and take train in and out once every 3 months and visit ur country every 9 months. or get a business visa by investing on some asset here in thailand. For the later one I dont recommend but its still better than the elite visa. At least the money isnt wasted. Or do as they say with the education visa. Not too recommended also for the fact they making it harsher. The best one is really retirement visa followed by multientry/business. Tourist/education you risk being blacklisted for no reason in long term.

As for conversion fees you can lower it to as much as 3÷ if you manage to open a bank acc here in thailand by using a service such as transferwise. cheaper than international bank tranfers and atm withdrawals on forgein accounts.

Depends. Phuket is expensive thought 4 forgeiners and known for its scams. The only place ive seen worse than phuket is koh samui and ive been in almost all thai islands. Theres better places to live tbh but up to you. If you can avoid being scammed then its more than enough. If can't... well.. just see by yourself.

So you telling me we need 40k? -_-". 20k bank for consulate. 20k cash for emigration. Cant we just open online bank acc in our phone in their front and show the balance? Either way the thai bank acc req is ridiculous as in normal circustances a tourist wouldnt have one nor can make one before comming thailand.

Derek Dawson Maybe one day if I'm borred. Theres definitely enough content due to my life getting dramatic every week <_<. Even so Id rather wait until I'm older before I do so just to make it a bit more interesting.

Ah sight. The issue isn't really the staying here. An elite visa would solve that. It's more tax evasion concerns since after 180 days of stay your a resident. Especially double taxation issues. Well I know a legal way to get arround this but requires trust from my part which is why I was hoping to see if anyone knew an indepent way. Either way, thanks for your reply as it clarifies some of my questions.

Exactly. Work experience being issue since open projects/contributions do not count nor ilegally owning a business as a minor (past). Santtu in case there is a contract which proves a source of income for at least a year which guarantees ability to mantain the required income would an exception be made?

Talk about work/permit visa. How is someone who supposedly has a high income as a freelancer from an outside source(50k+usd a year, soon to be 75k+ and may become a lot more in future due to planned investiments) but less than 1 year of work experience and no degree plus young age yet staying on thailand with his girlfriend able to get legal here? Just curious. Is there a way to get a business visa or something under this circustances? Since the business doesnt directly involve thailand I don't think so... Plus not enough requirements to match services such as iglu sight.

Doing it by air or land by the way? Because they checked me everything a few days ago at airport at dmk and I've been less time here and had only 1 tourist visa before that 2nd one. I suggest doing it by land.

Talk about it. My 2nd tourist visa run last weekend, and they did all kind of questioning just because I'm sick with a flu which made me look arab -_-", even thought Ive traveled through over 8 countries in 1 year and over 20 cities/islands <_< and asked me to see everything. Starting to think I should just get the thai elite visa as it was pretty annoying. Suggestion of the day: Always do your beard before emigration + sleep whole night + wear glasses if you sick I guess or dont get suntanned while enjoying a beach afternoon on islands. Makes huge difference in how they treat you at any airport in asia. At least they wont act like your a terrorist in disguise with a fake passaport lol.
