Hi everyone!

First of all, I’d like to sincerely thank all members of this group for sharing your experiences, insights, and real cases.

It’s incredibly helpful and honestly makes this whole DTV journey feel much more clear and achievable 🙏❤️

I’ve been reading a lot, but I still have a few questions and would really appreciate your advice:

✅1. Workation vs Soft Power (financial requirements)

Am I correct in understanding that there is a difference in how financial proof is evaluated between Workation and Soft Power categories?

🧐Workation seems to imply having a stable ongoing income (like a digital nomad model),

while Soft Power might be more about demonstrating a sufficient total balance on the account.

❓Is this interpretation correct? Or are both categories assessed in the same way in practice?

➡️My situation:

I’m a freelancer based in the Middle East with a small licensed freelance business (trade license).

Due to the current situation in the region, my bank account activity in the past month hasn’t been very active, although I do have the required total balance.

❓Has anyone applied recently from the Middle East?

Have you experienced any issues or additional scrutiny based on that region?

✅2. Bank statements (format issue)

My bank provides statements instantly via email, but they come without a physical stamp (only a digitally printed one).

❓Do you think this could be an issue for the embassy?

Would it be safer to request a hard copy with an official stamp?

🧐Also, if yes — how do people usually handle scanning large statements (3–6 months)?

That would be quite a lot of pages and a heavy PDF file.

➡️Application location

I’m planning to apply in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Russian passport + UAE residency.

Would appreciate if anyone with a similar case could share their experience 🙏❤️

Hi everyone

I applied for the Thailand DTV visa and I just received a request asking for copies of my last 3 payslips.

I’m a freelancer / independent contractor, so I don’t receive payslips. I issue monthly invoices and then receive the payments by bank transfer.

Has anyone been in the same situation?

Should I upload an explanation letter together with the invoices? Or what can I do

Hello, I need some advice regarding the following.

I am planning to apply for a DTV Soft Power (Muay Thai) visa. I meet all the requirements and have more than sufficient savings; however, I am unsure whether I should also declare income.

How necessary is it to provide detailed or additional financial information when applying for the Muay Thai visa?

I previously applied as a freelancer, and my application was declined on the first attempt. I am currently in Thailand on a visa exemption. I would also like to avoid giving the impression that I am working remotely in Thailand, as this is not the case.

Should I declare only my savings and my status as unemployed, or would it be advisable to also mention that I have some passive income in order to further demonstrate financial sufficiency and self-employment?

Hello Folks,

I just received a visa rejection email from the Thai Embassy in Dhaka. I applied under the Workcation Visa category on June 22, and today, instead of moving forward from “Pending Document Check,” it went straight to Visa Rejected.

Not sure what I might have missed! But I can ensure you that all documents and the input on e visa portarl was correct and legit.

Here’s what I submitted:

✅ Bank statements and solvency certificate (with more than the required amount, over 6 months) with regular tranjactions.

✅ Employment confirmation letter and an LLC company report from my employer (I work with them via Upwork). Been working for that company for the last 3 years..

✅ Upwork income certificate for the last 12 months.

✅ Freelancer ID issued by the Bangladesh government.

✅ All other regular documents (residency proof, air ticket, hotel booking, etc.)

Do you think I should apply again? If yes, when would be the right time?

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Happy traveling, everyone!

Thank you.

Hi everyone,

Would like to know one thing, I have applied for 2 months single entry Tourist Visa and today I got my passport with the Void stamp. What does that mean? I have a fresh passport and provide every documents they have asked. Initially I Submitted the documents as per the check list, after two days I asked to submit Additional ITR Which I don't have as I am working freelancer. Today I got my passport with Visa and a Void stamp on it.

My question is will it gonna be a negative mark on my passport or my future travel. Suggestions would be appreciated. As I was planning to come there to meet my partner.

Why not just let people talk about things? It is not going to bring about the end of the world (or the page) if someone talks about a work permit instead of a visa here. Many people here could have great advice to give. I think its kind of an a-hole move to lock off anything that is not specifically visa related is all.
