With a history of 2 SETV and a non-B in passport since October 2016, is it better to go to Vientiane with a visa run service or independently? Is there any risk doing it independently? First time to Vientiane ever, but non-B was from Savannakhet

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around whether it is better to use a visa run service or handle the border crossing to Vientiane independently, considering the user's history of 2 Single Entry Tourist Visas (SETV) and a Non-B visa. Insights shared indicate that crossing into Laos by land is generally safe, with no reported issues at the land crossings. However, entering by air could pose questions at the airport. The community encourages carrying all necessary documentation regardless of the chosen method, and opinions suggest confidence that the user's visa history should not lead to problems at the border.

There are NO reports that the land crossings with Lao are asking for anything when you stamp into the country. It's entering by air that carries the risk of you being questioned.

Thanks! Yeah, it's always that risk or I think too much, better safe than sorry. Appreciate the comment!

All by land, but guess I'm more concerned about the actual border crossing. I will have all documentation with me of course.

Doing it by air or land by the way? Because they checked me everything a few days ago at airport at dmk and I've been less time here and had only 1 tourist visa before that 2nd one. I suggest doing it by land.

you shouldn't have a problem either way you do it. The agents can't go to the window for you to apply anyway, you have to do that yourself.

Your history is such that you should be fine..
