I came here 12 years ago on a holiday and didn't go back. One suitcase, has now become minimul "stuff". I feel as if I am on a perpetual holiday.

A new passport does not work for hiding the old anymore. Biometrics has been in use for 3 years here. A friend tried that route and got refused on arrival in Thailand.

I just did mine in Phuket last week. By bank info(800,000) included a printed 1 year statement of transactions. Last year, all I needed was 3 months.

If they flew in with no visa, they should have 30 days. Another 30 days can be got for 1900 baht at immagration office nearest them, anytime before the 1st 30 expires.
