I don't know if people realise but it is not compulsory to enter threads that you have no interest in or helpful advice about. The term " just Google it " can now be superseded by " just scroll past " . It works , i know , i have done it ! 😲👌😂

As an Australian i know there is a group for Aussies in Thailand . There may also be similar for Canadians . Have a search for FB groups and you might find one specific to your needs , if you haven't already of course .

Over 6000 deaths since 2004 . As i said it's been quiet for a while as there are ongoing negotiations . The targets are mostly Thai military and police but there is always a chance of an outbreak of violence if talks break down. They dont target foreigners but i wouldn't like to end up as collateral damage . It' sad and i hope to visit some day.
