infrastructure is certainly not better than bkk. And owning property is a terrible idea, exposes you to all kinds of political risk, interest rate risk, regulatory risk, and so on. The English is nice. /shrug

if you have the 800k, put it in. You can still use an agent to help with the paperwork and make sure everything goes smoothly. This will ensure it was done without bribes and that you will not have issues in the coming years.

Letting 800k THB sit there and endure inflation is the biggest reason LTR is so much better.

Yeah it sounds great but because I'm retired I can't show 80k USD a year in income. I only liquidate enough investments to cover expenses and I don't spend 80k/year
