Hmmmm

1...Wise charges less than Canadian banks in all my experiences.

2... preload a credit card with funds and simply go into Thai bank and withdraw from it, you will only need your passport.

3... CASH gets best exchange rate, shop around for best rate at money changers , not banks or SuperRich, but private exchanges.

Your bags go to Samui.

You clear customs in Bangkok.

Pick bags up in Samui and clear inspection of bags there.
