In Buri Ram DLT, my yellow housebook was also accepted for my driving licence extension (as was the case several times before).

Non-O and Non-O A are both visa for retirement. Non-O based on marriage with Thai is also an option. However, Non-O A is not recommended because of required border run every 90 days.

The Internationaler Führerschein is only valid in connection with the national driving license. It has always a biometric pass photo of the driver inside.

Of course there are, e.g. in Germany the Internationaler Führerschein, which translates to International Driving License. Nothing bogus here.

National driving licenses are not necessarily accepted in other countries. It depends on country of origin and on the foreign country where the national license is used.
