TLDR : Answer Summary
The Thailand border is currently open only for travelers flying into the country, while land borders remain closed. As a Filipino citizen, you do not require a visa to enter Thailand, but you must obtain a Certificate of Entry from a Thai embassy or consulate. This requires presenting evidence of COVID-19 insurance, booking an approved ASQ quarantine hotel for at least 15 nights, having a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours before your flight, and a fit to fly certificate (the latter may change soon). Currently, travelers are advised to wait for updates regarding potential reductions in quarantine duration, with rumors suggesting possible changes in October.

They are all forgetting about the COVID19 travel insurance worth $100k or half a million peso coverage.. from PH too and been wanting to travel to TH since october of last yr.. did all my research and even emailed to the thai embassy.. but it’s really difficult to enter the kingdom with no visa kasi mauubos lang ang time mo sa quarantine.. so if you are really planning to go there, make sure u will stay more than 1 month and get a special travel visa (STV)
this news site did not mention anything about international travel since Friday-Monday. The Royal gazette will be more accurate after the first. Thanks for suggesting, the live presentation is excellent.
Dear Pinoys, there is something you must know. At the aiport in the Philippines, Immigration will intervieuw you and asks why are you flying aborad. We have seen it and heard it as well. Pinoys get "offloaded" and not allowed to fly outside Pinas. If you do not have a workcontract with company abroad, and or if Immigration dont trust it, you will be barred to board your airplane. Filipinas, are protected against human traficking, if you want to fly outside Pinas, with a foreigner of alone, they -Immigration- will cheack everything. Its not that easy to eave Pinas. My gf and me were intervieuwed. But we already had a 5 year relationship, and many proof we are in relationship. I have a big income, and I am able to take care my gf. Its for your own protection. Too many Filipinos were victim of human traficking. Its good that your Immigration only wants to protect you.
well i dont know what’s ur situation. I am just basing it on hers and just to be clear with the travel health insurance, it’s the COVERAGE that is worth $100k but not the amount that you will pay 😅 i can just get $100 worth of travel insurance but i need to make sure that the policy should indicate that they will cover COVID19 worth $100k
it’s the coverage, but of course u will not shell off 500k pesos lol u will have to apply for a travel health insurance and pay certain amount and the coverage for COVID19 should be 500k pesos
i personally dont have any issues with thr travel insurance. ung issue sakin is ung quarantine period sa hotel na mas expensive lol naubos lng oras mo sa hotel.. so dapat tlga long stay ka.. 1-2 months.. ndi keri ung 1 week lang.. nag hotel ka lang nun lol
it depends nmn din on how long ung coverage ng insurance.. the longer the stay, the higher the price. so if you will only stay for few days or weeks, a coverage of 30 days is enough or 60 days.. i saw worth 5k pesos for 30 days

Quarantine for Thailand may be lifted in October or lowered to 7 days depending on current COVID conditions

My Thai family needs help, and I’m not going to waste money on hotel quarantine’s. I simply mentioned April, to hear their latest official ideas.
yes, I’ve been fortunate to have mine also, but the current 3 month clause that has to be within that time to qualify. A booster is in the works. At the moment who knows if being vaccinated twice in one year is advised or safe. I want to wait for quarantine to be lifted possibly in October. Just another snag. When Thais have a decent percentage vaccinated, perhaps things will improve from these strange ideas. I wholeheartedly believe in the insurance, should have done that years ago. I’m more than glad to pay for that.
thanks, please reread. I have completed. I just don’t get the , must be within 3 month clause to be admitted. I understand about the possible booster also. I want to travel in October. I guess just another wait and see. I as thousands of others will not come under quarantine conditions.

I think you don't need a Visa being a Filipina but you still need to go through all the hoops such as Covid Test, Covid insurance, Certification of Entry, 2 weeks quarantine and so on.

What Stuart said ... I would only add that the rumour mill says that quarantine will soon be reduced (or even abolished). Always remember that (as with all things Thai) it remains a rumour until officially announced. Hopefully soon!

You don't need a visa since you're ASEAN. But you do need entry permission from Thai consulate. If you want to save money, come when the quarantine is lifted. Right now, you are looking at 27K baht for 15 days at the cheapest approved quarantine hotel. Not worth it to pay all that money stuck in a room. Just my opinion.

MarGuyvin A. Nothing to do with ASEAN, but Philippines can get the 45 day visa exempt stamp, otherwise they apply through the Thai embassy in Manila for a visa
who knows? It's like the Philipoines...always changing.

Land borders are closed. Only option is to fly in. You need to liaise with your local embassy to get a Certificate of Entry for which you’ll need insurance, 15 nights in a ASQ hotel, a fit to fly certificate and a negative Covid test 72 hours before departure.
this is not totally true. In March 2020 Thailand went in lockdown, and it was impossible to enter the country. In autumn, little by little the country opened up, first with special, expensive visa's , and by December, with normal visa, to get end of that month, the visa exemption again. All then by 15 nights quarantaine.
