Unfortunately the rules are not the rule. Rules are consistent. Decisions from immigration offices are inconsistent.

Even this knowledgeable web-site is not always expert as they speak from THEIR experience and knowledge which can never cover every immigration office in Thailand.

I will try again this month but that was in force in May when I was handed the attachment I provide.

It was pushed into my hand with a cursory grunt and told "not my problem".

My concern is that under your advise someone may "seed" for 2 months when 3 is required in Sukhothai and, possibly, Mae Sot and others.

Robert Lagas, for the previous 10 years on Non-O AGE extensions Mae Sot, and now Sukhothai, immigration have required 800k baht in my account for 3 MONTHS prior to extension.

I have questioned this on occasions with the same answer. Even as recently as May this year I was given a print-out of the new rules and that STATED 3 months prior.

Never have I had the luxury of 2 months.

About 5 minutes for your paperwork if it is complete. Unknown how many people in front of you.

my IO demands 3 months prior and have done so for nearly 10 years, even prior to opening in my province.

Go to the embassy and ask their requirements ( even here it's up to each IO).. How much are you paying your consultant ?

That has cleared it up for me also. Thankyou. Now I just have to hope my IO knows that.

Depends mostly on the speed of the bus.
