Be aware at least one Immigration Office (Sukhothai) will not allow computer-filled paperwork. I have a dislocated shoulder with a broken humerus bone and they still won't allow any fully printed forms. My girlfriend has to WRITE it in for me and then I sign it.
Remans, the word "retirement" refers to the word "work" only. They are opposites and, under no circumstances, cannot be applied at the same time. They are MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE so no, you cannot work (own business or not) at the same time.
All I'm trying to say is that in Sukhothai, at least, they require 3 months "seeding" and unless you want an argument with the person who controls your future in Thailand disregard anyone who tells you 2 months is the law.
I know what the police order states but I am hesitant to argue/discus with my immigration office as Non Renewal this year or next year is a real possibility.
Thais in this area believe they ARE NOT INCORRECT, especially when suggested by farang.
Unfortunately the rules are not the rule. Rules are consistent. Decisions from immigration offices are inconsistent.
Even this knowledgeable web-site is not always expert as they speak from THEIR experience and knowledge which can never cover every immigration office in Thailand.
