Hi all.

To Non-O (retirement) Visa extenders in Sukhothai... the 800,000 baht "seed" needs to be in your account for at least 3 months before extending.

If you wish to argue otherwise do so at your own peril.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The current requirement for extending a Non-O (retirement) Visa in Sukhothai mandates that 800,000 baht must be maintained in your bank account for at least three months prior to the extension application. However, there is some contention regarding these requirements, with suggestions to challenge any discrepancies based on police orders.

And I am telling you that is NOT the requirements posted in the current police order.

Now it's on you whether you will stand up for yourself and hold your ground and push it up the ladder to the point you file a written complaint (which they in turn have to send to bangkok, then issue you a written reply) .

Here is the current police order in effect,

All I'm trying to say is that in Sukhothai, at least, they require 3 months "seeding" and unless you want an argument with the person who controls your future in Thailand disregard anyone who tells you 2 months is the law.

I know what the police order states but I am hesitant to argue/discus with my immigration office as Non Renewal this year or next year is a real possibility.

Thais in this area believe they ARE NOT INCORRECT, especially when suggested by farang.
