well i guess after two visa-runs they will deny handing out a third one, like every embassy and consulate in the SEA region- you will have to apply for the "1-year extension of stay permit based on being married to a Tha wife" on Immigration, along with the required financial proofs, if you wish to continue your stay in Thailand as a married partner to a Thai wife. Bad news for many, sad news indeed!

no, the financial proof will only give you a single entry Non-Imm-O family visa. It is mentioned in the pdf document issued by some embassies worldwide. No more multi entry family visa - only single entry

the Penang and Ho Chi Minh City Thai consulates stopped issuing the multi entry Non-Imm-O family visa without the need of a financial proof, soon after Corona. Consulate Savannakhet was the last one where you could get it

after Corona, they changed their website and stopped mentioning the multi entry Family visa version. However they still issued it to those that went there, until now. Sad to hear, Mike Smith. This will affect many married expats, who just don't have the finances needed for an extension of the family visa

when you make a border run or border bounce, you re-enter Thailand. That's a re-entry. Your visa is a multi entry category visa, so you can do as many re-entries as you want, during the visa validity

if you make a border run with re-entry on the last day of the visa validity, you can get almost 8 months stay permit out of this visa. Adding one more 30 days extension will get you almost 9 months stay permit. However you never were able to "extend a visa". You can only get stay permits extended

no, that's not enough to be granted parential rights. If for example you wish to change from Extension based on marriage to extension based on support of half Thai child, you need parential rights to be granted by a family court order

Scott Ramsland i am just referring to the requirements of the threadstarter. He still is in need of a THAI certified custody. His british documents will NOT be accepted by Thai authorities without proper certification of the MfA and a Thai family court order. And Brandon explained the situation correctly.
