the OA is what I did, I’m from California.

With it you only have to provide bank balances from a US bank.

If you have one person who is short is there anyway you can get that balance up, at least temporarily? They will NEVER ask again or clarify based on my experience.

Not quite the same but I had a visa application rejected (though otherwise flawless and 100% in compliance).

My name. In the application I provided my first and last name. My passport says my first middle last name. It did not state ‘name as it appears on your passport’.

So I had to pay again providing my middle name changing nothing else. 🙄

eSIM or physical sim doesn’t matter. We’re getting close to physical sims going away as they are not necessary.

Really depends on what you need?

When I came I ported my primary US phone to Google voice, then got an alternate sim that I could forward to my old number and a Thai number that also forwards. This way I keep my well publicized phone number no matter where I am.

You can have as many sims as your phone can handle. iPhones can handle 8 or more. 🤷‍♂️

As mentioned, they will only effect battery life if they are active with service.

my experience I would disagree. In my case for two years I’ve kept my money in a bank account earning interest that even after paying the required insurance resulted in gains that paid my rent for nearly a year. Thai banks don’t pay anything worth mentioning.

After two years the non OA is pretty much done and to continue the non O is the next logical step.

But this is my experience. If over 70, if unhealthy the O is likely better.

The Thai based company I used literally issued a one page stamped certificate of insurance. I suspect most countries can’t give this certificate. That’s what they want. I used LMG though there are others.

I was not clear. FB doesn’t make repeat questions an easy reference item. I was thinking along the lines of a downloadable document in the files area called FAQ that can be revised regularly and pointed to when people ask the same stuff repeatedly. 🤷‍♂️

Post this as an faq of sorts and keep it revised so people can point to it and move on. 👌
