it's increasingly difficult for UK citizens to return home if they have a non British family, the visa process is a nightmare and the overall financial requirements are huge.

Wherever you're staying in Thailand you'll need to ask. We don't know where you will be and it's a big country.

@José ******
we've just explained! Arrive in Thailand visa exempt for 30 days and extend 30 days more at immigration.

Or get a tourist visa!

I've just told you how. And Brandon told you in the first post. You have a choice. Do it that way using "visa exempt/no visa" or apply for a tourist visa before you arrive.

@José ******
several times people tell you, can arrive and enter 30 days with no visa, then extend at immigration. That's how it's done.

@José ******
there's is no automatic tourist visa on arrival. There's is a visa exempt entry where you have NO visa but are allowed to enter for 30 days and can extend that for extra 30 days.

the 30 day visa exempt ( no visa) entry is not a visa. It's permission to stay 30 days without a visa and then go to immigration to apply for extra 30 days.
