 true. I'm not back in Phuket yet and don't know if my account will be frozen. But I only use a bank book, no app or bank card.

 in UK you can't open a bank account on a tourist visa or as a tourist. It's same thing really.

 so tourist visa to prove you're just a tourist? I'd have given them a hotel booking, one that was free cancellation. Just in case they think owning a condo isn't being a tourist. Good luck with it.

You've got the Non-O Retirement visa. You used it to enter. Deposit the money in your Thai bank. Season it then apply for 12 month extension of stay at immigration office. They will have a list of paperwork required.
