you’ll have to show invoices that you actually make money from this and business license (LLC from the USA or similar) proving it’s a real profitable business.

Laos prefers USD. USD is down right now while THB fluctuates. Makes sense they would increase the price.

Being concerned about how I choose to navigate tourist visas and being concerned about them tightening the rules is kind of ironic isn’t it?

the rules are a gray area, We have to have these conversations because the rules are not clear or equally enforced.

The “spirit of these rules” you mention is the problem.

I tried to apply for an e visa for Thailand while I was in Vietnam. One of the required documents was for flight into Thailand. Because my flight was for Vietnam—> Thailand, the embassy wrote me an email requesting proof I was in the USA and not abroad. I was short on time and ended up not following up. But this was my experience.
