suggest you read the gift section of the Revenue Code for more details but you can gift to people who are not immediate family members up to 10 million per year. Go to the Revenue Department website and look up gifting.

instead of wasting money on agent fees some prefer to make their money work for them by investing in passive income streams. They relax while their money works.

I have found the opposite to be true, those without sufficient funds use agents. Those with funds wouldn’t waste money paying for something they can easily get for free.

you as the gifter cannot benefit from the gift in the year that the gift was made. You can prove this by showing the wife’s bank account as of 31st Dec with the money there untouched. From the 1st Jan, beginning of the new tax year the funds are free to be used as wished.

who must all now be sweating as the Police investigation into nominee companies gathers pace.

If you are not a Thai tax resident you can simply remit the funds into Thailand tax free. If you are already tax resident you can gift up to 20 million to your wife. Gifting done say at Christmas time would be traditional and customary. You would be able to use the funds from the 1st Jan. As you have not benefited from the gift in the year it was made the gift would be tax free.
