Hmm.. I applied for it with an invitation letter from my niece to stay at her place. Print all documentations including proof of income and bank account as well. They end up didn't ask me for anything. Just look at the application form and gave me 10 years tourist visa. BTW that was more than 5 years ago, not sure how difficult it will nowadays.

Just don't overstay if you plan to come back. I don't think it's worth it. Should avoid problems with authorities at all cost.

Try to go to the immigration before your visa expired a couple days before, if they refused to give you the Covid extension, they will give you 7 days to leave the country. And that 7 days will help you to extend your stay until your flight. Is this a good plan?
