Thank for replying! So, did you go in to Thailand on the DTV and then upgrade his visitors visa to a dependent's or were you able to do that beforehand as well?

Thank you but we are Worldschoolers so he already has his own schooling. I just don't have the savings for the elite visa or whatever it's called. For everything else we're sorted and have been travelling a long time.

Can I apply at the same time? It seems like the advice is to go in on regular tourist visa, set up things you need, and then go back out again and apply for the DTV.
