 the webpage opens, but the moment I input "indian passport' it gives a message that I am not eligible to apply for e-visa, and that I need to apply through the local thai embassy.

 not sure. I have to check the process from Indian Embassy in Thailand. I guess the Indian Embassy will want our marriage certificate (which was already attested by the Indian embassy in Thailand), and the birth certificate of the baby, with our names as parents...

I dont intend to live continously in Thailand for over 3 months. I can show my bank account statement in India. Moreover i can give proof of my wife's home etc in Thailand. I dont want to park any amount in any Thai bank account.

 i dont have a bank account in Thailand. But my wife has a bank account in Thailand, where we keep a basic balance for our expenses in Thailand(approx 300,000 bhat). I can show my bank statement from an Indian bank account.
