Being a VETERAN doesn’t account for anything with Thai immigration, only means something in your own country, doesn’t give you any PULL or extra benefits here.
You are just another number on the system. Welcome to Thailand.
I was looking at the Elite as well, but with how the last couple of years with swinging door Governments and economic uncertainty I will go year to year and see what we see.
having JUST opened with Kasikorn Bank 2 weeks ago on my Non-O I can say with certainty that they NOW require either a 12mth lease with all the owner’s information and deed of title for the rented property , or proof of ownership of a property ( the Chenote ) if a condo in your name if not married to a Thai.
Seems things have changed now the BOT has cracked the whip with all banks.
how is he going to open a bank account NOW that the Thai Banks require a 12mth lease agreement or proof of ownership of a property in Thailand?
I JUST opened a Thai bank account end of last month with Kasikorn and my 12 mth rental agreement along with a copy of the owner’s Chenote and copy of Title Deeds to the property were needed.
I used Siam Legal to help me with my Non-O Visa and bank account.
What does being a VETERAN have to do with getting a THAI Visa??? It only means something in YOUR home country, the Thai don’t give AF, sooner you understand that, the easier you will make things for your adjustment.
having just gone through all this, to get the Thai bank account, the Thai phone 📱 number is also linked via your passport as verification of identity and the carrier will issue a ( confirmation docket ) this is important as the Bank 🏦 of your choosing will want to see that docket to link your identity with the phone number to your bank account along with facial scan at the bank.
