Hello, everyone.

I would like to ask if this is okay with the Thai Immigration regarding the timeline of my stay here in Thailand.

60days🇹🇭 - (Dec. 2024-Jan. 2025)

2 Weeks🇵🇭 - Mainland (Jan.)

60days🇹🇭 - (Feb. - March)

3days🇲🇾 - Malaysia (March)

and I will go back again here in Thailand with my husband, who has a DTV. We (our infant) are still not under his DTV. Are they not going to hold us when we go back here again in Thailand?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about their travel timeline and whether it aligns with Thai immigration regulations, particularly regarding their re-entry into Thailand after multiple short stays. Comments from the community emphasize the importance of holding an appropriate visa, specifically a Dependent Visa (DTV), and highlight that Thai immigration policies can be strict, especially concerning multiple entries within a short period. It’s noted that an immigration officer has discretion in approving entries, and there’s caution regarding the potential denial based on the travel history.

Thai immigration look at your last 6 months and say you cannot visit more than twice under visa exemption so after Malaysia you have high risk of denial, few people on here have this experience in last few months

you can visit as many time as you want on visa exemption until the IO will suspect that you are living in the country without an appropriate visa and will deny your entry. There is no limit of exemption of stay stamps

technically you are correct, but since January they have been much more strict, I suspect this maybe because of the ETA process that's incoming which will mean that they have much lass ways to take tea money..

Are you going back in time? 2024 and jan 2025

I would get the DTV for you and the kid before coming to Thailand again. They really are quite strict these days.

Consider that soon there will be no more 60days visa free in Thailand.

One consideration is a land border crossing as prior to the new 60 day visa there seemed to be some separation between air/land entries. Also, a less travelled border crossing would be Langkawai Island Malaysia via Ferry to Satun Thailand...then from there to Hat Yai and beyond. I had a good experience with this a few years ago.

Hahaha 🙈 every time I am interviewed by the IO, they really give me a mockery face 🥹 that’s why I feel that I’m traumatized 🙈🤣

Get a proper visa. There’s a good chance that they won’t let you back in.

No regular tourist has plans like that - common sense.

Why haven't you considered a DTV as a dependent?

as per agent its another payment if we will under to the DTV of my husband 🙈 we are still thinking if we will live here in Thailand with the infant or just stay in PH 🇵🇭 as its my mainland so that our baby will not adjust to the surroundings 🥹

If you’re thinking of the baby, you should plan for much longer than the few years of a DTV. The older a kid gets, the harder it will be to learn a new language, lose friends, and have a decent education.

Schools aren’t that good in Thailand and for a foreigner it hard to get a job (and work permit), plus a Thai degree is worthless outside Thailand. You better stay where your kid is a citizen (or in some western country, which got reputations for good education)

That record does not seem to be that of a tourist. Consider obtaining an appropriate visa.

There is no definitive answer for this scenario, why??? Because your ability to enter Thailand on any given day is at the SOLE DISCRETION of the Immigration Officer you stand in front of at the Arrival Hall of whatever city you arrive at.

My personal experience last year was 3 entries with 1 being 28 days which was prior to the 60 day visa exempt.

On each of the 2 subsequent 60 day visa exempt entries I stayed 6 weeks and 5 weeks and I was aware I may have been turned back on the last occasion which was November 2024 to December.
