What would be the best procedure and steps to follow? To extend my visa and leaves the country by the end of it apply from a border country? Ida there any “better” country to do this from? TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is in Thailand on a tourist visa and is seeking information on how to apply for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV). They are unclear whether they can apply while in Thailand or if they need to leave the country to do so. Comments suggest extending the current tourist visa by taking a 30-day extension and preparing necessary documents to apply for the DTV from a neighboring country such as Vietnam or Cambodia, both of which have efficient eVisa processes.

You can move to Vietnam, book an hostel for few days and apply for the DTV

Yep, might as well max out the time you have on this current 60 day entry stamp, take the 30 day extension,

Use this time to get the documents in order so you can go to a nearby country then apply for the DTV online using the eVisa online webportal while you're in that country.

Vietnam, Cambodia, have been running the eVisa system the longest and seem to have faster turn around.

A LOT of the nearby countries are just going to start doing it on Jan 1 and that means they'll be new at it and the processing time will be longer

Vietnam takes about 2 week’s turnaround from what I have been reading.
