My pride and joy is a 2007 Fortuner with 450,000 km on the clock. Just fitted the 3rd set of Bridgestones and 4th battery. It's never let me down and apart from changing oils and filters, I've not spent a penny on it.
My wife has a new Isuzu MU-X. To keep within our budget figure, we chose an Active which came out at ฿1,080,000, and it's a hell of a car for the money. So far, I'm really impressed.
I can't personally speak about the Ford, but a pal has one, and he's forever moaning about the running costs.
I suppose I'm a Toyota man, because they're undoubtedly the most reliable, they're the cheapest to maintain and they're best for residual value.
Surely if this happens, you've no need to do anything other than leave Thailand before the date that you SHOULD have been stamped.
Similarly if you wish to get a 30 day extension, would it not mean that, if you apply before the date you should have on your passport, there shouldn't be a problem as the correct date will be on the immigration computer system, regardless if the officer incorrectly stamped your passport
