TLDR : Answer Summary
When moving to Bangkok, the best mobile phone provider recommended by expats is AIS. Many users note that it offers reliable coverage in big cities like Bangkok and even in remote areas. While True offers faster internet speeds, its coverage can be lacking outside urban centers. Some users have also mentioned DTAC as an option, but the consensus leans heavily towards AIS for overall reliability and service.

If you don't want a package, buy a DTAC card from Lazada.

Around ฿1,000 for one year free Internet, phone calls to all Samsung, and text messages.

AIS is the only reliable option.

True generally has faster internet, but their coverage can be horrible in most parts of the country, so that fast internet doesn't work when you need it the most.

If you'll be in Bangkok then it will be AIS. Some of the other carriers have better service out in the provinces, but AIS is best in big cities.
