Are the e-gates functional for foreigner ARRIVALS? I have a Netherlands passport holder who checked into my villa yesterday that I am trying to report a TM30 for online. It is a self check-in, so I asked him to send me his passport and entry stamp (even though I know entry date isn't a required field, it is just for my records to ensure I don't have someone on overstay). He insists there's no entry stamp in his passport from Bangkok, replying: "Now the immigration doesn’t has arrival stamp."
I am not aware of the e-gates functioning for arrivals at any Thai airport, so it seems every foreigner would still get stamped. Is he wrong or has something changed, before I press him further about this?
Ok. So as you all know immigration offices are closed until Thursday 17th. For many offices they will be absolutely chaotic on Thursday. If you can avoid going to immigration on that day then please do so.
If your entry stamp or extension finishes between now and then, then go on the 17th and be prepared to wait for a long time. You won’t be fined because of closure but will get an overstay stamp.
Friday will probably be crazy too because of the fallout of the 5 day closure.
Going to immigration early is usually a good idea for most extensions but this week if you really don’t need to go then just don’t.
If your extension or entry stamp is after the 20th then just do everyone a favour and avoid immigration.
I have no idea on the policies for all the immigration offices, but you may well find that some will turn you away if you don’t need immediate services.
Hi I’ve just been approved for a 6 month multiple entry tourist visa it says valid from today until September does my 6 months start when I enter I realize I need to leave the country every 60 days thanks for answering cheers
If got DTV and entered Thailand 1 time. And out in 2 months.Next time entering i forgot to tell to immigration i have DTV and he stamped visa exemption and didnt see my last stamps. What happens to my DTV in this situation?Should correct in aiport?
I just left Thailand and am in Hanoi. I have until Nov. 29 until the Thai 60 day tourist visa expires. Would that be a problem?
I physically will be in HCMC too but I can only apply through Hanoi on the website since that's what my stamp says?
I wasn't planning on applying for the DTV on this trip but considering it. I'm going to Cambodia on Dec. 7. Would it be a problem if I apply for the visa in Vietnam and enter Cambodia a week later while awaiting approval? Or I have to be in the same country as the application when it's approved
Plan to enter Thailand again dec. 14. Trying to maximize the 5 years of validity. Thank you
